One Evening

One Evening

Jack sat nervously in his room, holding the cold hand of his unconscious ex-colleague Emilia. He couldn't believe what had just happened. They had met by chance at the pub and caught up over a few drinks, but he never expected things to take such a dramatic turn.

Emilia had been getting increasingly intoxicated as the night went on and, when she asked for a lift home, Jack agreed without hesitation. But as they drove along, Emilia became increasingly incoherent and, before he knew it, she had passed out in the car.

Jack was torn between panic and confusion. He had never been in a situation like this before and wasn't sure what to do. Should he call an ambulance? Or take her to the hospital himself? But something in him made him decide to bring her back to his room and let her sleep it off.

He gently lifted her into his arms and carried her to his bed, laying her down as carefully as he could. As he looked at her, he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. He had been drinking too, and he knew he should have been more responsible.

He checked her pulse and felt her hand, which was still cold. He started rubbing her hand gently, trying to generate some warmth and bring some color back to her cheeks. He felt a lump form in his throat as he looked at her, so vulnerable and helpless.

As the night went on, Jack kept a close watch on Emilia, making sure she was breathing and her pulse remained steady. He couldn't shake the feeling of responsibility he had for her well-being. As the sun began to rise, Emilia stirred and slowly opened her eyes. Jack breathed a sigh of relief, and Emilia apologized for her behavior and thanked him for taking care of her.

Jack felt a sense of relief wash over him as he saw her awake and well. He knew that things would never be the same between them, but he was just happy that she was okay.

Lydia

Lydia was a determined 16-year-old wrestler with a fierce ambition: to become a national champion. She had been training tirelessly for years, and her hard work was starting to pay off. At local competitions, she was consistently proving herself as a force to be reckoned with on the mat.

But Lydia knew that becoming a national champion would be no easy feat. She would have to defeat some of the best wrestlers in the country, many of whom had been competing at a high level for much longer than she had.

Determined to reach her goal, Lydia redoubled her training efforts. She spent every spare moment in the gym, lifting weights, practicing moves, and studying her opponents' techniques. She also made a point to eat a healthy diet and get plenty of rest, knowing that her physical and mental well-being would be crucial to her success.

Despite the challenges ahead, Lydia remained confident in her abilities. She knew that if she could continue to work hard and stay focused, she would one day stand on top of the podium as a national champion.

As Lydia's fame as a wrestler grew, so too did her popularity outside of the sport. One day, she was approached by Jacob, the son of a wealthy businessman. Jacob was smitten with Lydia and asked her to be his girlfriend.

However, Lydia was put off by Jacob's arrogant attitude and rejected straight away.

Feeling embarrassed and humiliated, Jacob vowed to get revenge on Lydia. He began to hatch a plan on how to take his revenge on her and make her pay for rejecting him.

As Jacob searched for ways to take revenge on Lydia, he stumbled upon a remote village where he found Joanna, a young woman who belonged to a poor family. Despite her humble background, Jacob quickly realized that Joanna had an incredible inborn wrestling skills, easily defeating even the toughest village boys in match.

Seeing an opportunity to finally get his revenge on Lydia, Jacob approached Joanna and her family with an offer. He promised them the best training and a career in wrestling if Joanna accepted to join his team. Overwhelmed by the opportunity, Joanna's family agreed, and she left her village to pursue her dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

Jacob trained Joanna intensively, providing her with the best facilities, coaches, and equipment. He knew that with her raw talent and his resources, Joanna could become a formidable opponent for Lydia.

As Joanna's skills improved, Jacob couldn't wait to pit her against Lydia in the ring and finally get his revenge. Joanna, on the other hand, was just focused on becoming the best wrestler she can be and was not aware of Jacob's true intentions.

With Joanna's training complete, Jacob organized a friendly wrestling match, and he introduced Joanna as a new and upcoming wrestler. Lydia was invited to the match, and as soon as she saw Joanna, she realized Jacob's intention.

The match began, and from the first round, Lydia knew it would be a tough fight. Joanna's inborn skills and Jacob's training had made her a formidable opponent. The two wrestlers fought fiercely, each one determined to come out on top.

After four intense rounds, the match was finally over. The judges declared Lydia the winner, but it was a narrow victory. Lydia had won, but she had also gained a new level of respect for Joanna's abilities.

Despite Jacob's attempts to seek revenge, Lydia emerged victorious and Joanna had a chance to showcase her talent and potential to become a great wrestler. The match had ended on a high note for both the wrestler and the audience.

After the match, Lydia understood that in order to maintain her position as one of the top wrestlers in the country, she would have to upskill herself. She began training harder than ever before with her coach, Valery.

Meanwhile, Jacob had a long-term plan in mind. He secretly sent Joanna to train under the famous Russian trainer, Igor Barisimov, financing everything but at the cost of putting a debt on Joanna's family. Joanna's sudden disappearance left Lydia surprised, but as time passed, her memory of Joanna started fading from her mind.

As the months passed, Lydia put in even more effort to improve her skills, determined to become the best wrestler she could be. Meanwhile, Jacob's plan for Joanna was slowly coming to fruition as she was trained by Barisimov, becoming a fierce competitor on the mat. However, Lydia was focused on her training and was not aware of Joanna's progress.

2D or 3D?

A major part of my life was spent on 3D, but unsuccessfully, till date. No idea if my 3D skills may come to use in future.

Lack of time, bitterness of present life, coping with present job etc. etc. have brought me to a wasteland, and made me standstill, confused.

Want to start again, earnestly! But with what? 3D again? Not this time, I guess. Some questions came up.

Where are the practical usage of 3D characters? In video game industry and animation studios. We see that the animation studios mostly make cartoony type of movies, therefore cartoony type of characters. And that is not my cup of tea. Real life figures? Hardly they are put to use in 3D animation movies. Only I can remember of Bewoulf. 3D characters like living humans. Now the point is that, if we need to make real looking 3D characters, is it not like holding the nose getting around the head? The movie better can be shot with living characters! Without the hassle of those ultra complicated 3D technicalities.
And in games, yes. Real human like characters are made and used there. But the point is, is it my taste at all? Just to create the characters in T poses and pass it on down the pipeline? Or to create stories?

Stories! Yes! That's what it is! Since childhood stories came flowing into mind. I used to be a storyteller. Now, I was searching for a medium to 'record' those imaginations. 10 years (or more) back, I opted for the 3D medium, allured by it's realism.
Realism! Now it seems 'Plastic'! Artificial! I was so determined with it, that I lost the way. Went through the hardest path to learn it! Paid a big chunk of my life... what for? To end up and see no opportunities, not a pinch of appreciation, recognition, forget about livelihood! And also, the technicalities came across the way of lucid and free flowing creativity. I tried my best to make ways to use 3D characters with ease, as if with ragdolls, but no, not so easy it ever became.

Despite of lacking the precise computer generated '3D looks and feel', the hand painted drawings attracts no less! Modern drawing techniques can make a drawing more attractive and tasteful to eyes.
And free of technical clutter, like we face while creating a 3D character.

So why not turn the way?
